Shawn tells us about Canon USA now adding software that will allow users to use most Canon DSLR EOS Cameras as a webcam. The guys talk about lenses and photography and wonder on the quality of the Smartphone’s versus DSLR? Broadway brings up a good point as to why the Smartphone’s have excelled in performance and it’s the basics of technology. The guys talk about the Adobe Photoshop program and reminds parents of the Educational Version available. Scott Kelby has been teaching some basics in Webinars on Kelby One.

Shawn and Justin talk about the Raspberry Pi with a new Add on Camera available. The only issue Justin has had with Raspberry Pi is that it runs on Linux although Broadway had made use of running Linux with Windows together. Broadway recommends getting into Linux and Raspberry Pi to learn how tech systems work, plus the Raspberry Pi website has all types of projects users can work with. Andy shares the story about the Woman who bought some Air Pods only at a great price; the photo on the web is hilarious of her getting huge Air Pods BUT, they are an Awesome Bluetooth Speaker!

Justin tells us about this new show on Amazon Prime called Upload. Its a Comedy with a bit of a mystery thrown in and tells a great story. Andy talks about IMDB.TV and all the different sources of programs available including LOST. If you have a fire stick you can watch the shows for free with Ads. Cord Cutters are loving YouTube TV with Local Channels available in most areas and a Cloud DVR. Andy talks about Shamook on YouTube creating a Deep Fake of Raiders of the Lost Ark with Chris Pratt as Harrison Ford.

In this Weeks TechtalkRadio Show, Broadway, Shawn DeWeerd, Justin Lemme and Andy Taylor talk about our changing environments during the Covid 19 Pandemic. Justin has redone his Studio at Home and it’s impressive. Justins Studio

The guys talk about how they are currently working from Home. Justin has some time to reconfigure his computer and install his recently purchased RTX2080 TI Graphics Card. Justin notices though after some intense gaming with Red Dead Redemption 2, the heat factor increases rather high. Broadway shares a recommendation for helping the heat in the system flow better.

Broadway tells us about relocation to Austin Texas where he is doing the show from. The guys note the pandemic has delayed shipping from Amazon with very few items available for next day delivery.

Shawn still goes into his work during this to assist the Instructors at the University for Off Site Education. We learn a little about some of the Technology behind making this work. Streaming has been very important to Churches across the country for staying in touch with the Congregation. There have been some issues trying to get the hardware to stream the services. The Film Distribution business has been changed in light of the pandemic with Theaters upset at film companies streaming first run movies. The guys talk about backgrounds when video conferencing and some points to consider when on a conference meeting. Broadway wants to know who is on Justin’s wall in his newly located studio. The guys talk about the Ethics of Video Conferencing and the importance of wearing pants. Shawn tells us about Jennifer, a Zoom Fail, who forgot she was on video conference and made a bathroom visit. Another problem for some is eating during conference video meetings.

The guys talk about some of the information that has opened up regarding Covid 19. The Closures of schools has Shawn sharing information how this has affected the Universities. We learn how professors are using the Panopto Video Platform to conduct online lessons with Global Classrooms. How is this technically being done? Are there benefits to this new style of learning? Businesses have been hit hard with closures and families are affected with the lack of childcare available for working parents.


The guys talk about the dangers of searching online for Covid 19 information and as always they recommend checking out https://www.cdc.org which is the official website for The Centers for Disease Control. Lots of offers are available to the public for Entertainment, Streaming Channels, Internet Companies and even the educational versions of Software. The guys talk about hardware within the home and upgrading to get the most out of the connection. Churches have jumped to the opportunity to stream their services and some not having the equipment to do it. Shawn tells us about ChurchStreaming.TV that provides a home for Houses of Worship to stream to.

Andy ask Justin about his 3D Printer and how could the printer be used to make materials for health care and what are the differences in materials. Justin talks about how this isn’t as easy as setting it up. Shawn shares his Gremlin Drone taking a flight that he put together from last week. He takes a flight and crashes it! We learn a little about how to get one and to get the most out of flying.

Justin tells us about finally deciding to drop the Ring Doorbell which he has, Andy has had the same issues. Justin orders the Nest Hello Doorbell Cam. Justin talks about hooking the new Nest up and how much faster it was then the Ring System. Is there any downside to it?

New Show – Flying High Once Again!

In this Weeks TechtalkRadio, Justin is back after a busy transitional period with a company change over. Shawn is out this week. Justin and Andy Taylor talk a little about the workplace and what can change when an acquisition happens. The guys talk historically about some companies that have gone through buy outs and what has happened to them. One of those that have ridden the wave of change outs is Entrepreneur Mark Cuban. They talk about Audio-net, Broadcast.com and how it was sold to Yahoo, what happened over the years? Because of Andy’s love for food, he of course has to bring up Kenny Rogers Roasters, Where are they today and what does it have to do with Yahoo?

Justin and Andy talk about cutting the cord but still wanting to have Over the air television. There are many services for streaming favorite channels like ID, Discovery, Hallmark in package pricing from Philo or Sling but many users still want access to the local channels. Using Antenna Web, the guys share the different local channels available and what type of antenna would be needed based on areas. Justin talks about why Disney Plus will be a major streamer with some great options for content. Sony makes the announcement of the PlayStation 5 and what is going to be special about the console which won’t be available until Holidays of 2020! Justin talks about Haptic Feedback which will be a big feature for the gaming experience.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been announced for the PC and there is much to be excited about! Justin talks about some of those features for the PC Version of Red Dead Redemption 2 and why playing it is going to be a blast! The guys talk about the new Rock Star Games Game Launcher and how this is great for those playing games in the Rock Star Line. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 has also been announced and the graphics are amazing. The Title won’t be available until early 2020 yet the previews have helped to create a lot of excitement. Justin shares a great YouTube Channel AirForceProud95 which is built around the Flight Simulator Experience with smart alec Air Traffic Control, it’s a good laugh to watch!

New Radio Show – Faces Made for Radio!

The Expression Photo XP-970 can Print, Scan, Copy and produce vivid colors for photo printing. We talk with Stevi at the user of the Expression Photo XP-970 and who would be the target user? We love the Expression Photo XP-970 from Epson gives the user the opportunity to print 4×6 all the way up to 11×17! Using a 6 Color Claria Ink System the pictures printed give a good representation of the original. Users can also use the Epson Connect features to be able to print directly from a smart phone without a router, although in a connected home, printing wirelessly over a network is also a great advantage.
