For those that have been waiting patiently or impatiently, the day has arrived for the latest version of Ubunto Version 10.10 with a code name of Maverick Meerkat. The new version can be downloaded and installed for free at http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download or the users can trial install it to a CD or USB Drive to give them an idea of the look and feel of the latest version as well. The 693MB download should please most Ubuntu users and give first timers a realization that the Open Source platform is not just for the tech heads and can also provide a graphically pleasing OS.
