On this week’s Technology “Talking Tech” segment on KMSB Fox 11, Andy Taylor introduced viewers to one of the most eye-catching drones on the market right now: the Antigravity A1, a first-of-its-kind 8K, 360-degree drone powered by Insta360 imaging technology. With cameras positioned above and below the aircraft, the A1 can capture immersive aerial footage while digitally removing the drone itself from the final shot—creating stunning, cinematic visuals that look more like a video game than real life.

Andy explained how the Antigravity A1 stays under the FAA’s 250-gram limit with the standard battery, avoiding registration requirements, while larger batteries push it over that threshold for pilots who want longer flight times and expanded capabilities. Either way, the drone delivers smooth, stabilized footage and opens the door to creative “fly now, frame later” editing using 360-degree capture.

The segment also highlighted the A1’s FPV-style flying experience, where pilots wear included goggles to see exactly what the drone sees in real time. Using a simple controller with intuitive controls, flying the A1 is approachable even for newcomers. Key features like return-to-home, automatic low-battery landing, and precision landing using a visual landing mat help make flying safer and stress-free.

Andy wrapped up by breaking down the available kits, including the Infinity Kit, which comes with multiple batteries, goggles, chargers and a rugged carrying case—everything needed to fly right out of the box. Andy also shares a couple accessories available such as a Landing Mat. Whether you’re a hobbyist, content creator, or just love cutting-edge tech, the Antigravity A1 delivers a unique new way to capture the world from above.

The show wraps up with Shawn discussing the new DJI Mini 4 Pro drone. Andy expresses frustration over the introductory price of the DJI Mini 4, which is $299, compared to the over $1,000 he spent on the Mini 3 Pro. KMSB Fox 11 Segment Backing Up Your Data! https://blog.techtalkradio.com/kmsb-fox-11-segment-backing-up-your-data/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=kmsb-fox-11-segment-backing-up-your-data Sat, 10 Apr 2021 23:56:27 +0000 https://blog.techtalkradio.com/?p=7917 Read More]]>

For this Mornings Segment we took a look at the Important process of Data Backup. Wednesday March 31st was World Backup Day. The idea was to do it before April 1st, Don’t Be a Fool, Backup! Even if you missed out on World Backup Day, it is always wise to, and I Quote Larry the Cable Guy “Get er done!”

For the Segment we stress what is a backup, A backup is a second or to be real safe a third copy of all your important files — for example, your family photos, home videos, documents and emails so you would never lose them in the event of a Disaster.

Instead of storing it all in one place (like your computer), you keep another copy of everything somewhere safe. First of All, while copying them to a Flash Drive or External Hard Drive, there are options to restore your system in the case of a hard drive failure, and it happens. The technology behind the storage devices has become much better over the years moving from a traditional “Spinny” drive to SSD Drives (Solid State – No Moving Parts)

While I am a fan of the Acronis Software, True Image 2021 and not only giving you a way to make an Image Copy of your system but also backups when your system changes. The newest version also offers data protection with Cloud Backups – storing your data in a secured cloud setting. The Product sells for about 40 dollars for a single version and for a Five User System about $70. There is a few free options and one that gets a lot of love is EaseUS.Com. The Free Software will do backups and incremental backups. The Pro Version which is $30 can do drive imaging

Hardware for backup can be done with various Hard Drives and they come in different sizes. If you have a 500GB drive in your system, I recommend 750GB or Larger, the cost per terabyte is very reasonable. One option is the My Passport drive from WD –portable hard drive storage for your Windows computer (can be reformatted to support other operating systems). Available in up to 5TB of storage, the My Passport drive also offers automatic backup software

Also don’t forget to backup your Smartphones – whether you use google drive or icloud depending on your device – SanDisk makes a removable flash drive that can connect to your device and using software easily backup your photos, videos and documents.

Portable is important because, you really don’t want to store your backup with your system, a fire or disaster would effect your backups – having it at work or in a safe deposit can protect your data from this. I recommend taking a look at the hardware at wd.com and for more on the need to back up your data – http://www.worldbackupday.com/
