KMSB Fox 11 Segment featuring the Motorola Moto Z Droid from Verizon

In todays segment, I featured the Moto Z Droid from Motorola/Lenovo with Service from Verizon. The Moto Z runs on Android Marshmallow and will eventually be updated for the upcoming Nougat platform.

What’s nice about the device is the ability to add to the Moto Z with snap on devices which connect via magnets embedded in the smartphone and devices. The latest offering for MotoMod is the Hassleblad True Zoom, It looks amazing!

We looked at the MotoMod Insta-Share Projector which can give you the ability to run a projector off your device.

The Moto Z is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor running at 2.2Ghz with 4GB of Memory. It is available in 32GB or 64GB Storage and of course upgradable with a microSD card.

The Moto Z also features a fingerprint sensor on the device which can be a bit confusing as I constantly was hitting it think it was a home button. This is understandable because my personal phone is an apple product. The Moto Z uses a USB Type C connector and doesn’t include a headphone port, Bluetooth it is or a provided Dongle type connector to the USB  Type C Port.

The rear camera is 13MP with the ability to shoot 4k video and adjust is as you would a DSLR however I think most would just set it on auto. The Forward 5MP also features a flash for your selfies! Screen size is 5.5 and the device itself is incredible thin!

Check out more video at TechtalkRadio coming this week on the features and the MotoMods.

Another Alert from Home – Watch where you’re leaking!

Lets face it, Technology has made life exciting. It used to be when we wanted to impress our friends we would whip out the countless wallet photos of our kids and point to little Timmy rescuing Lassie from a Well, or something like that.

Check out the Video from D-Link with Dustin explaining the process

With today’s Day and Age we can now take the smartphone and share the very cool apps to help us in everyday life and impress our friends and family with our vast knowledge of the web and apps. Thanks to the engineers at D-Link we can now expand the impression to friends and family with our New Wi-Fi Water Sensor.

The D-Link Wi-Fi Water Sensor is actually a really great idea and although I have never had a water pipe burst on me, I can imagine the damage if I wasn’t able to turn it off. The D-Link Wi-Fi Water Sensor plugs into an outlet near a Washing Machine, Refrigerator, Water Heater or pretty much anywhere water could build into a flood.

When the D-Link Wi-Fi Sensor comes in contact with water, a loud siren will alert the resident and a push notification of a problem will forward to the users set up mydlink account. The outlet itself doesn’t have to connect to the water, cabling can run to areas that could be affected and those serve as the notifier.  The unit sells for around $59.99 and is available now
