For this week’s show, Shawn, and Andy talk about this weeks announcements from Apple with the Peek Performance Event. They break down the new iPhone SE unveiling which features the A15 Bionic, the same power found in the iPhone 13. The iPhone SE will feature a smaller screen, 4.7″ however with the Home Button, Touch and camera system also found in the iPhone 13, this can be a great option for those looking to a new smartphone in the iOS world with a much reduced price. While the Mac Book Air was a nice announcement with the M1 from Apple, the most exciting announcement had to be the Mac Studio and Mac Studio Display. The Benchmarks of the M1 Ultra are amazing which is included a an option for the new Mac Studio, the M1 Max also is an offering.

Andy has been watching Investigation Discoveries latest show, Undercover Underage which 6 Episode run happens on Thursday Evening on ID and is streaming with the Discovery+ App. The show takes a deep look at one of the sad issues with the online world, Sexual Predators that can prey on those underage. While we might not think our children can be affected by this, the preying on the younger users online takes many forms and is sometimes hidden behind the keyboard. Andy talks with Roo Powell, the Author and speaker and creator of SOSA, Safe From Online Sex Abuse. They talk about the show itself, the reality of getting these predators in the front of Law Enforcement and how youth is groomed to give up information and put themselves in harms way which could lead to trafficking, rape and murder. It is a gritty subject yet while TechtalkRadio talks about the latest in Gadgets and Gear and internet trends, this is not a trend we need in Society. Episode 332 – What Do You put in that Box?

In this week’s show, Shawn, Justin, and Andy try to decide which streaming service if they had to abandon, what would it be. In this, they talk about some of the great shows and reasons to watch and which ones they have that they would choose from to eliminate. One of the Constants among the three of them is YouTube for watching demo’s, shows, classic clips. Andy found a new reality show on YouTube with good production value and is based in Arizona called Crazy Eights.

Elden Rings is quickly becoming one of the most streamed games and for very good reason. Shawn and Justin talk about the popularity of Elden Rings and what makes this RPG so different from the rest. Andy thought Elden Rings was a New Video Doorbell for the Older Crowd. Andy gets his hands on a ATEM Mini and ask Shawn about some of the key features on the Mini and why this would be a good solution on a Large Zoom Gathering that Andy have been asked to put together.

While Justin passed on his opportunity to get the Valve Steam Desk Shawn tells us about the CEO of Valve hand delivering the Handheld gaming units to buyers in Seattle. Andy shares the Sabrent USB 3.0 4 Bay Docking Station which has a comfortable form factor for the desktop. While it does some RAID configurations Justin and Shawn share the NAS devices they use. Getting your Videos and Photos digitized if you are doing it yourself can be as easy as having a company send you a box however Shawn’s explanation truly nails it.

Episode #330 – Two Rats Butts

In this week’s show, Justin, Shawn, and Andy break down some of the events of the Weekend including the “Big Game” for Sunday. Justin isn’t entirely happy that the game won’t be broadcast in 4K and shares his reasons why he feels it should be. Shawn breaks down some of the needs when broadcasting a Sporting Event in 4k and the Cost to equip the production crew. This year will present many commercials for products featuring a wide range of celebrities which is one of the extras Andy is focused on. The guys talk about the rise in many to look at Apps and Websites that allow in some states to wager on the game and believe new allowances for some this year, wagering will be open to many consumers. Listener Ana sends in a Question about wanting to upgrade her 6-year-old Motorola Android device and looks for what could be a possible replacement. Justin responds with his experience with the Google Pixel 6 and why this would be a good upgrade.


Listener Mike also wants some suggestions on the possibility of building a Gaming Streaming PC that could be built for around $1000. Shawn believes it can be done with some reservations and looks at PC Parts Picker as a source. Andy talks about his Recent Custom build and how on a recent visit to Costco found a comparable system in Speed and Cost for almost the same price point offered a much higher end graphics card, the RTX3060. This reminds many of the trend of people buying systems and pulling the graphics cards and reselling the new build with a lower graphics card to make the difference.

Andy talks with the CEO of Steambox Amit Jaura about the product which turned a lot of heads at this year’s CES Show in Vegas. New Episode Posted #328 – That’s One Giant Hairball!

Shawn and Andy both recommend Resident Alien on Syfy to Justin who hasn’t check the show out yet. Justin birthday has come, and he got himself a fun tech gift, a stand from Vevor for his Thrustmaster Steering Wheel and Pedal. Justin talks about how he set this up and how it makes it more fun. Justin talks about some of the Auto Racing games that work great with the Force Feedback system. Justin talks about some of the other mounting stands are on the market. Shawn talks about Racing Games in Virtual Reality and how that experience worked for him. Justin shares with is the Kickstarter for a Monitor he got into in 2019 for a Monitor developed and created by gamers for gamers. Since the Pandemic he has finally been notified the Monitor is available, coming soon for him will be the Spectrum Monitor with a whole bunch of great features. Andy talks about the Monitor Stands from Vivo which offer up some great options to hook up more screens.

Microsoft purchases Activision Blizzard and the crew talks about the impact on Gaming. Shawn talks about Microsoft on how they have a history of valuing its game designers and gamers. With the recent rumblings at Activision Blizzard this could fare well for the gaming franchises already under the company. Andy finally finishes his New Build utilizing an Intel i7 11700 with Asus Z590P in a Corsair 220T. While most case designs look great, gone in many is the space to add Internal Blu-ray or DVD Burners. The guys talk about the amount of time needed for planning wiring of these systems.
