New Show! 18 Wheels and A Big Rig! – RyaStream

In this Weeks TechtalkRadio, Justin Lemme and Shawn DeWeerd school Andy on the proper pronunciation of Notre Dame, not the one with the hunchback! We get the opportunity to have a great discussion with Live Streamer Ryan from RyaStream. While we have talked recently about the newly announced Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, it is going to be just one of the many simulators on the desktops and consoles of many. Ryan specializes in American Truck Simulator and streams the simulation Live over Facebook. Ryan is an actual truck driver as his chosen profession and talks about the similarities between driving a real truck on the roads and the trucks in American Truck Simulator.

Ryan from RyaStream not only provides a lot of fun to those watching his stream, he interacts with the visitors. What’s also impressive is the hardware in both controlling the simulations and the hardware to produce the popular stream. Ryan shares with us his progression of adding the hardware over time to get the most out of the titles. RyaStream shares some of his products he uses from Advanced Simulation Products to the El Gato Stream Deck to OBS Studio to the great controllers at Thrustmaster. Talking with Ryan from RyaStream is a Fun segment which tells us about Live Streaming and the origins of American Truck Simulator from SCS Software!

Shawn DeWeerd talks about the latest release from GoPro, The GoPro Hero 8 which features a new design and the same style as the Go Pro Hero Session. The unit itself is now more of a modular device, Shawn gives us a great overview.

A new security threat with some Lightning Cables which have been found to include Hotspots embedded within. The guys talk about an old trick of malware infected USB thumb drives left in coffee shops and on the ground.

New Show – Flying High Once Again!

In this Weeks TechtalkRadio, Justin is back after a busy transitional period with a company change over. Shawn is out this week. Justin and Andy Taylor talk a little about the workplace and what can change when an acquisition happens. The guys talk historically about some companies that have gone through buy outs and what has happened to them. One of those that have ridden the wave of change outs is Entrepreneur Mark Cuban. They talk about Audio-net, Broadcast.com and how it was sold to Yahoo, what happened over the years? Because of Andy’s love for food, he of course has to bring up Kenny Rogers Roasters, Where are they today and what does it have to do with Yahoo?

Justin and Andy talk about cutting the cord but still wanting to have Over the air television. There are many services for streaming favorite channels like ID, Discovery, Hallmark in package pricing from Philo or Sling but many users still want access to the local channels. Using Antenna Web, the guys share the different local channels available and what type of antenna would be needed based on areas. Justin talks about why Disney Plus will be a major streamer with some great options for content. Sony makes the announcement of the PlayStation 5 and what is going to be special about the console which won’t be available until Holidays of 2020! Justin talks about Haptic Feedback which will be a big feature for the gaming experience.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been announced for the PC and there is much to be excited about! Justin talks about some of those features for the PC Version of Red Dead Redemption 2 and why playing it is going to be a blast! The guys talk about the new Rock Star Games Game Launcher and how this is great for those playing games in the Rock Star Line. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 has also been announced and the graphics are amazing. The Title won’t be available until early 2020 yet the previews have helped to create a lot of excitement. Justin shares a great YouTube Channel AirForceProud95 which is built around the Flight Simulator Experience with smart alec Air Traffic Control, it’s a good laugh to watch!

New Radio Show – Faces Made for Radio!

The Expression Photo XP-970 can Print, Scan, Copy and produce vivid colors for photo printing. We talk with Stevi at the user of the Expression Photo XP-970 and who would be the target user? We love the Expression Photo XP-970 from Epson gives the user the opportunity to print 4×6 all the way up to 11×17! Using a 6 Color Claria Ink System the pictures printed give a good representation of the original. Users can also use the Epson Connect features to be able to print directly from a smart phone without a router, although in a connected home, printing wirelessly over a network is also a great advantage. Great Prints, Vibrant Colors and speeds, The Expression Photo XP-970 from Epson is a great printing device.

Shawn DeWeerd made the jump and updated to iOS 13 and shares what he likes or doesn’t about the new update for Apple Devices. Shawn tells us about the Animoji features, the Silence Unknown Callers feature and how the phone iOS will work with game controllers for Apple Arcade.

In this Weeks Show Justin, Shawn and Andy talk about Vehicles and Technology. Shawn talks about his new car and using Apple Car Play. The guys explain that both Android and Apple IOS devices can work in a vehicle with Car Play features. Smart Houses and security is discussed. Shawn tells us why he doesn’t want a smart home and wants to have the privacy maintained without giving up piece of mind. VPN, what does it mean for users that want to connect to the internet. Many talk and technology shows feature ads for VPN but do most listeners even know what the tech is and what it protects? The guys explain how it works. A big question that is asked often regarding keeping computers powered on, do they leave it on at night? Shawn talks about his Theater Room and some of the finer points of the technology for a great picture and sound.

Andy works on a HP Desktop computer with some big issues. The decision was made to keep the programs yet make some upgrades to the system. The guys talk about how users can streamline systems and with basic maintenance keep the systems running smoothly. Desktop Icons is one thing but full files, documents and photos and full folders on the desktop can slow the system, the guys talk about why. Another change to the system can be made to update to an SSD drive from a traditional spinning platter drive. Acronis True Image 2020 makes it possible to clone the drive to make it easier to not have to reinstall all the programs. Shawn points a big question to us about how often we do a fresh install of Windows. He explains why its important to think about fresh installs.

The guys share some gaming news and send congrats to Gamer Darkness429 on Facebook Live Gamer with the birth of the families child! We suggest a name, Darkness430! Shawn talks about World of Warcraft and how the game has continued to exist and grow. A recent story about a Mom that was trying to limit her daughters tweeting is shared by Shawn. After taking away her phone, she tweeted from her Nintendo WII-U ,that was then taken away and then she ended up using the refrigerator to send her tweet. Kids…

Amazon and Google Come to an Agreement! Good for YOU

Big announcement this morning as tech giants Google and Amazon have announced YouTube Apps coming to Amazon Fire TV’s and Fire Sticks. Also with this announcement Prime Members can stream to Google Chromecast and on Android TV’s with Unlimited Access. This is great news for the Consumers that have had to navigate to a browser to check out content on an Amazon TV, the App will make this much easier!

These changes won’t happen immediately as the technology will be integrated soon with Applications designed for this.
