A major point of interest is Apple’s M2 Ultra chip, which holds tremendous potential for broadcasters and video professionals. Shawn elaborates on the chip’s capabilities and why it’s a game-changer in the industry. However, the standout feature that captivated many during the conference was Apple Vision, which sets itself apart from competitors like Oculus. Despite its incredible technology, the only drawback was its steep price point, nearing the $4000 mark.

In light of June being Internet Safety Month, Andy sits down with Shalini Sengupta, the Senior Product Line Manager at Netgear, to explore the company’s history and the range of solutions it offers for consumer and business connections. Shalini emphasizes the rising number of connected devices in homes, averaging at 46, which has increased the need for robust threat protection. She also shares valuable safety tips for families navigating the online world. Andy raises the issue of upgrading older equipment to keep up with changing technology and security standards. Shalini highlights Netgear’s excellent solutions for upgrades and newer equipment that not only enhance security but also improve home bandwidth. They discuss the convenience and ease of deploying mesh systems, particularly for larger homes. Shalini and Andy also touch upon the benefits of owning your own equipment rather than renting it from your internet provider. For travelers or those in need of a reliable hotspot, Shalini introduces the Nighthawk M6 Pro, a versatile solution that ensures a secure connection without relying on unknown networks. She also sheds light on Netgear’s Armor Service, which provides enhanced and up-to-date protection for their products.

In another segment, Andy interviews Irrigreen CEO and Co-Founder Shane Dyer about groundbreaking technology that not only conserves water but also employs smart techniques, akin to “printing” water. This innovative concept draws inspiration from inkjet printing, as Irrigreen’s co-founder is an expert in the field. Andy and Shane discuss the user-friendly setup process, which can be accessed through the Irrigreen website. A Smart way to water the lawn and garden.

New Show Posted Episode #367 – I’m Kind of a Big Deal!

Hey there, TechtalkRadio Listeners! Welcome back to another exciting episode of TechtalkRadio, where we tackle all the tech topics that matter… and some that don’t! I’m your host, Justin and yes, those other two guys Andy and Shawn are on board as well, and I must apologize for my absence last week. You see, I was busy hobnobbing with the crew, preparing for the grand opening of Water World. Yep, I’m kind of a big deal around here, in case you didn’t know!

During my time away, I had the pleasure of recording messages for the Water World attendees. Let me tell you, putting those messages together was an absolute blast! Move over Spielberg, Justin’s in the house!

Now, let’s dive into the juicy stuff. Remember Casa Bonita, that wacky place we talked about a couple of years ago? Well, hold onto your sombreros because it’s making a comeback in the Denver Area, under the ownership of none other than Trey Parker and Matt Stone. You better believe Shawn, Andy, and I are committing to a wild reunion when that place reopens. We might even wear matching ponchos!

Speaking of wild rides, Shawn has the scoop on the newly announced DJI Inspire Professional Grade Drone. It’s got more bells and whistles than a one-man band! And guess who’s thinking about venturing into the thrilling world of Drone Photography? Our very own Andy! We gave him the lowdown on what it takes to market those services. Let’s just say, he better brush up on his piloting skills, or we’ll be scraping cameras off the sidewalk.

Now, prepare yourselves for a real plot twist. Our dear Andy recently got featured on KMSB Fox 11. You won’t believe what it was about—home security monitoring with ROKU products. Yup, now you can secure your home and binge-watch your favorite shows all at once. The future is here, people! And for the low price of $99.00, you get a whole security kit complete with a control pad, sensors, door/window monitors, and a hub. Andy’s practically become the James Bond of home security.

But hold your horses, folks. Justin is feeling a little down in the dumps. Why, you ask? Well, it turns out his special pre-release play of Diablo 4 went south. Poor Justin spent a boatload of cash on that exclusive deal, only to be met with problems on his Sony Playstation 5. It was such a mess that even websites started posting clickbait solutions. Ugh, clickbait—the bane of our existence! We shared our collective disdain for it and couldn’t help but notice how big media companies are hopping on that clicky bandwagon too. Shame on them!

Now, let’s switch gears and talk about something that’s out of this world—Reddit! Our resident Redditor, Shawn, has been using the app Apollo to connect with all those juicy stories. According to him, it’s the best third-party app to hop on the Reddit train. Unfortunately, Reddit has decided to start charging for its API access, and it’s causing poor Apollo all sorts of headaches. It’s like a match made in tech hell. And since recording this show, Apollo announced they’re calling it quits on June 30th. Farewell, Apollo, we hardly knew ye!

Last but not least, Andy is super excited about Meural II from Netgear. He’s even going to show it off on KMSB Fox 11. Brace yourselves for a visual feast, my friends. It’s like having a digital art gallery right in your living room. Move over, Mona Lisa!
