In this Weeks TechtalkRadio Show, Broadway, Shawn DeWeerd, Justin Lemme and Andy Taylor talk about our changing environments during the Covid 19 Pandemic. Justin has redone his Studio at Home and it’s impressive. Justins Studio

The guys talk about how they are currently working from Home. Justin has some time to reconfigure his computer and install his recently purchased RTX2080 TI Graphics Card. Justin notices though after some intense gaming with Red Dead Redemption 2, the heat factor increases rather high. Broadway shares a recommendation for helping the heat in the system flow better.

Broadway tells us about relocation to Austin Texas where he is doing the show from. The guys note the pandemic has delayed shipping from Amazon with very few items available for next day delivery.

Shawn still goes into his work during this to assist the Instructors at the University for Off Site Education. We learn a little about some of the Technology behind making this work. Streaming has been very important to Churches across the country for staying in touch with the Congregation. There have been some issues trying to get the hardware to stream the services. The Film Distribution business has been changed in light of the pandemic with Theaters upset at film companies streaming first run movies. The guys talk about backgrounds when video conferencing and some points to consider when on a conference meeting. Broadway wants to know who is on Justin’s wall in his newly located studio. We get the story of the photo of Stan Lee and an autographed Tupac California Luv 12 Inch Single. Andy Taylor buys himself a new High Speed Modem after realizing he wasn’t getting the full speed for his service plan. The guys talk about the Ethics of Video Conferencing and the importance of wearing pants. Shawn tells us about Jennifer, a Zoom Fail, who forgot she was on video conference and made a bathroom visit. Another problem for some is eating during conference video meetings.

Shawn DeWeerd tells about a new project for the show where he will embark on a mission to build, fix or create and share the process on the show. Filmmaker Joseph Heslinga chats with Andy Taylor about the new film Foosballers. The movie is a documentary about the people that have a passion for the game/sport of Foosball. Joseph talks about his roots in Tucson and how he relocated to LA. The technology behind filmmaking and distribution is discussed along with the story behind the film project. How big a part is social media in the promotion of a film project like Foosballers? Amazon and Google Come to an Agreement! Good for YOU

Big announcement this morning as tech giants Google and Amazon have announced YouTube Apps coming to Amazon Fire TV’s and Fire Sticks. Also with this announcement Prime Members can stream to Google Chromecast and on Android TV’s with Unlimited Access. This is great news for the Consumers that have had to navigate to a browser to check out content on an Amazon TV, the App will make this much easier!

These changes won’t happen immediately as the technology will be integrated soon with Applications designed for this.

If I Fits, I Sit

Sometimes we have no real clue how we come up with these titles for the shows but they just seem to fall in place! In this Weeks Show Below we cover a variety of topics. First off, it seems like there is a race for Fold-able Smartphones.  The Cost for this technology will more than likely drive the price tag of smart phones in the 2k region. Justin talks about some new smartphone technology that could be coming from Google. Justin adopted the Pixel 3 as his smartphone not too long ago and loves it! He shares his reasons.

Snow Day in Tucson has Andy taking photos with both the iPhone and Canon DSLR and has a tough time viewing the differences on Instagram – Justin talks about the compression used on Social Media on Images. An upcoming trip to Japan has Justin talking about ways to use technology overseas and stay connected. Justin also shares the love for Pokemon and how the game has been re-energized recently by groups playing the game and looks forward to catching creatures in Japan.

Justin talks about a New Super responsive Mouse from Logitech he purchased. The G-502 Hero Mouse. He shares the differences between an “office mouse” and Gaming Mouse. A story on a New USB 3.2 Standard which could achieve speeds of up to 20Gbps transfer speed. Justin shares a story from How To Geek on Transferring a Windows Licence.
