This could be a fueling of that downturn. Andy’s Daughter Scarlett has been creating artwork and John shares info on how it could be used as an NFT to increase her exposure and even sell some of her creations. John recommends OpenSea.IO and explains the process would require a Digital Wallet and shares info on MetaMask. John also shares the darker sides though of transactions and reminds us it is The Wild West.

Shawn shares info on a new microphone he picked up at a great price. The Blue Yeti X World of Warcraft USB Edition. While Blizzard has been dealing with a PR Nightmare, Logitech G The Parent company of Blue has been selling these at an amazing price and the sound quality is top notch. Later in the Show, Shawn gives us an Audio Demonstration of the settings for the microphone. Shawn also shares his love for Cameras and purchases a new Version of The Polaroid Now Camera and breaks down why and how it works. Shawn also tells us about the Polaroid Go and how much smaller it is then the Polaroid Now. Andy shares a device he purchased from Amazon which looks like a regular quality Ink Pen however it is fitted with an Audio Recorder to record meetings and conversations. Top Gun Maverick has been once again delayed now till Memorial Day, May 27th of 2022. The announcement of the moving of the release date for Top Gun Maverick has now also moved the Top Gun Expansion Pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator as well.

Apple announces they will be holding an Apple Event on the 14th, and many are speculating it could be the 4 different rumored versions of the iPhone 13. The crew talks about the discussion about Satellite delivered signal and what that could mean. Broadway shares with us why he may not want to be connected in rural areas that have no service. Andy tells us about a story out of Samsung and South Africa where a Riot occurred, and TVs were looted from a Warehouse. Technology on these TV’s is enabling them to be shut down once on and connected to the Net, basically bricking the sets. John tells us how technology has a Management Information Base and with this gives the Manufacturers the ability to shut them down.

The Latest Show – Shawn The Lobster

Microsoft makes the announcement that Windows 10 Support will end in 2025. The guys talk about how this will be the next step in the evolution of the OS for what is to be announced on the 24th. The Latest Show – The Jerkaholes

In this week’s show, Memorial Day weekend is over, the guys talk about getting outdoors and enjoying a bit of nature, the discussion turns as Shawn, who removed himself from Facebook and other social networking channels, tells us how he has noticed that without the tablet or smartphone in his hand, he tends to enjoy conversation and times with family. One form he does still have is Reddit and the crew talks about the benefits of Reddit and subreddits. Shawn uses Apollo as his interface for seeing and posting on Reddit. Justin tells us about the popularity on certain post and the concept behind Karma and Gold. The Nintendo Switch could be getting the Nintendo Switch Pro and the guys talk about why users enjoy the Nintendo Platform. Once you get the Nintendo Switch, the guys recommend Nintendo Online. One gaming wish would be for the porting of Goldeneye. As things always turn on the show, the discussion turns to Arecibo and how the Dish System in Goldeneye collapsed in real life. Gaming discussed with the upcoming Battlefield, Elite Dangerous and Star Wars Squadrons

The Guys talk about the latest from Wyze with some major product announcements from the company which started with a Camera and not the inventory for the company is huge. Justin gets himself the Jabra Elite 85T Earbuds. He tells us why he chose them. The crew talks about Supporting Mom and Pop Local businesses and Andy stresses because that is important to our community. Shawn talks about Shippd, a service that can deliver same day which can help local businesses compete again Amazon.

Andy is excited about a new program on History Channel on How the Chicken Nugget was Created, the guys do not get it. Switching back to business, Justin tells us about his search for the RTX, it’s not been very fruitful with the card Scalpers grabbing them up. New Episode – Finding Bitcoin in the Couch Cushions..yes..it really happened..kind of

In this Weeks TechtalkRadio Show, its Andy Taylor Shawn DeWeerd and Justin Lemme on the show. Shawn has been busy working with the Sports schedule at the University and producing the sporting events and shares some of the biggest challenges in getting these done. Shawn gives us a look at the Wyze Light Bulbs and the ability to change some of the schemes all controlled by an App. Justin talks about why he ended up no longer using the Philips Hue system. Shawn shares some info on a project he has been taking up for a Plex Server within his trailer while camping. He tells us what is unique about the 12v Raspberry Pi server and why he did it.

KMSB Fox 11 Segment Backing Up Your Data!

For this Mornings Segment we took a look at the Important process of Data Backup. Wednesday March 31st was World Backup Day. The idea was to do it before April 1st, Don’t Be a Fool, Backup! Even if you missed out on World Backup Day, it is always wise to, and I Quote Larry the Cable Guy “Get er done!”

For the Segment we stress what is a backup, A backup is a second or to be real safe a third copy of all your important files — for example, your family photos, home videos, documents and emails so you would never lose them in the event of a Disaster.

Instead of storing it all in one place (like your computer), you keep another copy of everything somewhere safe. First of All, while copying them to a Flash Drive or External Hard Drive, there are options to restore your system in the case of a hard drive failure, and it happens. The technology behind the storage devices has become much better over the years moving from a traditional “Spinny” drive to SSD Drives (Solid State – No Moving Parts)

While I am a fan of the Acronis Software, True Image 2021 and not only giving you a way to make an Image Copy of your system but also backups when your system changes. The newest version also offers data protection with Cloud Backups – storing your data in a secured cloud setting.  The Product sells for about 40 dollars for a single version and for a Five User System about $70. There is a few free options and one that gets a lot of love is EaseUS.Com. The Free Software will do backups and incremental backups. The Pro Version which is $30 can do drive imaging

Hardware for backup can be done with various Hard Drives and they come in different sizes. If you have a 500GB drive in your system, I recommend 750GB or Larger, the cost per terabyte is very reasonable. One option is the  My Passport drive from WD –portable hard drive storage for your Windows computer (can be reformatted to support other operating systems). Available in up to 5TB of storage, the My Passport drive also offers automatic backup software

Also don’t forget to backup your Smartphones – whether you use google drive or icloud depending on your device – SanDisk makes a removable flash drive that can connect to your device and using software easily backup your photos, videos and documents.

Portable is important because, you really don’t want to store your backup with your system, a fire or disaster would effect your backups – having it at work or in a safe deposit can protect your data from this.
