In this Weeks TechtalkRadio Show, Andy Taylor, Shawn DeWeerd and the returning Justin Lemme revisit 3D Printing. Justin visits his mom in South Dakota who also has a 3D printer, and the guys talk about the progresses in the technology to make 3D Printing even easier. Justin recommends not only printers but also some websites for finding “templates” for creations on the 3D Printers. Shawn tells us how resourceful it can be to have access to a 3D Printer for business applications. Justin talk about the products they he has made. Andy talks about installing a Google Nest Thermostat and how easy it was to do. Shawn talks about the upcoming Wyze Thermostat and some new Wyze cameras for home monitoring.

The new Google Pixel 5 has Justin sharing his thoughts on the latest 5G Smartphone but packed with features he is looking forward to. Shawn and Justin talk about Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Shawn tells us about Virtual Reality with the New Star Wars Squadrons and how amazing it is. The guys share how this also enhances the simulator in Flight Simulator.

The guys talk about the new ad on Television featuring Alan Ruck from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off for the Lift master Garage. We also look at the website Future Me, send an Email to yourself in the future!

New Show Posted Episode 288 – I Got Sweat In Strange Places

In this Weeks TechtalkRadio Show, Andy Taylor, Justin Shawn DeWeerd and John Broadway, open the show with a talk about Andy’s Air Conditioning going out. The guys talk about how technology has become a part of the Air Conditioning systems and controlling it with the Nest Thermostat. Shawn talks about the upcoming Wyze Thermostat. Monitoring with video is also discussed and while the guys haven’t been happy with the Ring Video Doorbell system Andy has been talking about the Nest Cameras he has on his garage and how he caught a bird dive into his parked vehicle and knock himself out.

Shawn mentions the Wyze Doorbell Camera, yet Justin wonders how it is possible. Justin wonders if there is a correlation to Tik Toc to provide data. Shawn tells us however about the background of Wyze and why they are rooted from former engineers from Amazon that wanted to provide technology at an affordable price.  The guys talk about the reasons they liked and disliked Tik Toc. The guys talk about Podcast and how the length of time in those shows has increased to almost 2 hours. Andy gives props to a couple of shows he likes BoxOfficeQBs and The Paul and Griff Show.

John gets himself a new Microphone, he gets the Aston Stealth Microphone and loves it. He talks about the setup for him to record. Shawn gets the Nikon D850 and shares what he loves about it.

Andy tells about a new feature in Photoshop, Sky Replacement, that will be featured at the Adobe Max Conference on the 20th of October. Andy gives Dreamweaver CC a try and loves it noticing how much faster it is then the 5.5 Version he has been using. Microsoft starts doing presales for the upcoming Xbox and there were lots of problems with the ordering. Justin explains why the issues popped up.

Director of Digital Marketing Josh Mortensen for AtGames visits the show to talk about some new products coming from the Company. Josh tells us about the Arcades Legends Ultimate, which is now available, 300 titles in a full stand up arcade game. Andy loves a lot of the features including the amount of titles and the facts that the machines are internet enabled.  For those games with trackballs like Missile Command, the stand-up includes a trackball. Josh also tells us about Arcade Net which can ad games. Also available is the Gamer Pro which allows you to connect directly to your Big Screen TV and play your favorite games.

Shawn is under a severe weather watch during the show and we talk about storms and earthquakes, while andy has thought he lived through the big Landers 7.1 Quake in the 90’s, Justin reminds him, he was in Japan during the 2011 Fukushima 9.1 Justin, Shawn and Andy talk about Dr. Disrespect making a jump to YouTube but not determined to be a regular streamer with this as his home.

Amanda joins the show and shares some insight to educators and parents and getting information during remote learning. Hooking up a Smartphone to second monitor or tablet is discussed. Broadway jumps on to talk about his studio upgrade and what he has been doing.

Andy talks about a new Movie on HBO Max called An American Pickle with Seth Rogan and the upcoming The One and Only Ivan on Disney +. Shawn tells us about students back on Campus and how they have gotten prepared for that and the technology involved. Justin tries out software from Nikon to use his DSLR as a webcam.

The crew issues warning of giving out too much information when it comes to census and covid-19 info. Broadway tells us about Microsoft Garage and a program he found which allows you to run a mouse on multiple computers over a network! The program is called Mouse without Borders

New Show Added! Flying the Friendly Skies

In this Weeks TechtalkRadio Show, the Crew misses Broadway and Amanda and wonders if Broadway was tending his chickens. Justin talks about his Secret Lab Chair after having some time to really get to use it. He shares why he likes it. The guys talk about Human Scale and the recent news of Herman Miller through a partnership with Logitech G on a gaming chair. There is a lot of Excitement with the Upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and both Justin and Shawn have picked up and dusted off the throttle and joystick controllers. The guys talk about controllers from Saitek and Thrustmaster. If you are thinking about getting Microsoft Flight Simulator on the 18th, they talk about why you want to have a Controller.

Microsoft makes announcements regarding Game Pass, All Access Pass which can give you the opportunity to pay a monthly and get a New X-Box, similar to the strategy on a smart phone. The guys have to laugh with the announcement of the return of Leisure Suit Larry with a new title. Justin tells us about his devious plan to get a new Xbox. Andy recommends for helping his son with technology to take a look at KANO Computing and why.

Pokémon Go is still making a ton of money, Andy talks about how much money was made in a recent tournament. A Reporter from the Washington Post does a story about trying out the Amazon Alexa Enabled Glasses; he is quoted in the article saying they “drove him bananas” Dennis sends in a question regarding connecting the GoPro to his smart phone, Shawn talks about the process to make it happen.

Justin Shares a fun Website of the Week with us, it’s called Skribbl.io. It’s is similar to Pictionary for the Net and can be played randomly or with friends.

New Show – The Chubby Caddy!

In this Weeks TechtalkRadio Show, Justin starts off after some time off and shares with us a Code Available for GolfPad GPS and Tag System for 15% for an amount of time Code TTR. Justin talks about how it has helped his golf game. Broadway shares how he liked golfing until in his word, he “got fat” and stopped playing. The Guys recommend using his feet rather than a Cart. Andy shares some info on the Music Video for Huey Lewis and the News 8 Bit Characters in the Video for the Song featured in the movie “Animal Crackers”

Amanda tells us about her Sager Laptop and how the Customer Experience has been great! The crew talks about upgrading Gaming Laptops and how they have come along in the past few years. John unfortunately has had issues with parts he ordered from a couple of suppliers without mentioning them, Kind of..
